3rd Central European Conference in Regional Science, 7-9th October 2009, Kosice, Slovak Republic

Our research fellow, Sonja Risteska participated in the 3rd Central European Conference in Regional Science, organized by the Technical University Kosice, in Kosice, the Slovak Republic. She presented joint paper written together with our other research fellow Agim Selami on the topic: Public Administration Reform in Macedonia with Particular Focus on Decentralization Process. The conference programme was divided into thematic sessions.

Third roundtable Energy in the Southeast Europe, Belgrade, 19 October 2009

Natasha Hroneska, Analytica’s research fellow on the Energy and Infrastructure programme was invited to give a presentation at the third Roundtable on Energy in the Southeast Europe organized by the International Security and Affairs Center (ISAC), one of the most influential think-tanks in Serbia. Ms. Hroneska had a presentation on the energy security in Macedonia and the wider region, at the second panel - Energy Security in the Southeast Europe – Points of Concern for Serbia and Countries of the Region.

1st Slovenian Social Sciences Conference 23-25th October 2009

introOur research fellow Sonja Risteska took active participation in the 1st Slovenian Social Sciences Conference, with a working title “Economic, political and societal position and role of the European Union and its member states in the time of global instability”. The latest report of the EU Approximation and Integration Advocacy Programme, “Four Years from the Candidacy Status: what has been done and what to expect?” was presented in the EU session at this conference.

Conference “The role of the civil society in the process of NATO integration” Centre for Security Studies, 27 October, Sarajevo

introOn the 27 October 2009 our Research Fellow on Foreign and Security Policy, Andreja Bogdanovski took part at a conference organized by the Centre for Security Studies in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The theme of the conference was “The role that the civil society plays in the process of NATO integration.” Moreover the conference served as a platform for sharing experiences from other countries from the Western Balkans which are in different stages and positions when it comes to NATO accession.
