Commenting Macedonia’s INDC

From 30. November to 11. December 2015 in Paris will take place the 21. Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21/CMP11). COP21 will be of crucial importance, as it needs to achieve a new international agreement on the climate, applicable to all countries, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.
Macedonia as a party of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will suggest its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) which is a contribution to the global efforts for greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Sonja Risteska and Ana Stojilovska from Analytica together with Eko-svest and Front 21/42 commented Macedonia’s INDC. The comments of Analytica, Eko-svest and Front 21/42 are based on the work from the SEE SEP project, include the sectors energy supply, transport and buildings, and advocate for increased use of renewables and energy efficiency leading to a low-carbon energy scenario.
