Key objectives of the conference are:

-          To address the security developments in the Western Balkans in light of the region’s close interactions with the EU and NATO and in particular to establish a ground for sharing best practices and lessons learned from the 20 years of reforms in the security sector;

-          To illuminate the trends in the security and defense policies of both the EU and NATO and the possible implications they will cause on the ground;

-          To reflect on Macedonia’s contribution to Peace Support Operations worldwide and outline the possibilities for future engagements.

This regional conference will bring together civil society organizations, practitioners, experts and academics from Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro as well as professionals working together with NATO and the EU in security matters.
