OECD Representative visited Analytica, 29 April 2010, Skopje

intro29th of April, 2010 - Mr. Bob Bonwitt (OECD) and Ms. Michal Ben-Gera (consultant) paid a visit to Analytica. The aim of the visit was to get an insight from our team members Agim Selami, Turker Miftar and Sonja Risteska in relation to the latest developments in the Public Administration Reform in Macedonia.

U.S. Embassy visit – Discussing human trafficking, 22 April 2010, Skopje

introMr. Sani Demiri and Mr. Andreja Bogdanovski paid a visit to the US Embassy in Skopje on 22nd April and met with Mr. Matt Keener, Political Officer. The talks centered on the anti trafficking project that Analytica works on at the moment “Assessment of capacities to combat illicit trafficking of humans-related criminal activity: the case of Macedonia”.

Security sector mapping – 4 th regional workshop, 7 April 2010, Durres, Albania

introFrom 7 to 11 April Analytica’s staff working on the “Mapping and Monitoring Security Sector Reform in the Western Balkans” project were present at the 4th regional project consortium meeting in Durres, Albania. Analytica’s team presented the main findings of the written papers related to the Rule of Law and the External Oversight criteria from a security sector perspective. Moreover the meeting served as an opportunity for the partners to develop and discuss the methodology aspects for the two new reports that deal with Parliamentary Control and General Transparency.

Experiences gained through regional cooperation of the Visegrad group countries in their Euro – Atlantic integration processes, 17 March 2010, Skopje

Andreja Bogdanovski, Analytica’s Research Fellow on Foreign and Security Policy Program, participated in a conference organized by the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia on the topic “Experiences gained through regional cooperation of the Visegrad group countries in their Euro – Atlantic integration processes”. Mr. Bogdanovski commented on the influence that this close cooperation (grouping of votes and building a common position) has in the decision making process within the EU and NATO structures.
