Trust in Police

Analytica think tank through the Regional network of civil society organisations POINTPULSE organises the presentation of results of the public opinion survey „The Citizens' Opinion of the Police Force” that will take place on Thursday, 1 September, at Hotel Stone Bridge starting at 10h.

At the presentation citizens’ perceptions on the following issues will be discussed:

  • How much do we trust the police?
  • How citizens percieve average male and female police officers?
  • How much corruption there is within the police and how to fight it?
  • To what extent politics influences the police?

The perceptions of citizens of Macedonia will be presented and compared to the perceptions in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. These will be presented by Andreja Bogdanovski and Filip Stojkovski, Security Researchers at Analytica.

Working language of the presentation is Macedonian with simultaneous translation to English and Albanian provided.

Presentations on the same topic will be simultaneously organised in Tirana, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Podgorica and Pristina, where the results will be presented by project partners: Institute for Democracy and Mediation, Center for Security Studies, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Institute Alternativa and Kosovar Center for Security Studies.
